The GRIMMWELT Kassel is a newly constructed museum building on the Weinberg Kassel. The walkable terrace which is open to the public offers a view over the southern city of Kassel and the North Hessian Highlands. The GRIMMWELT Kassel is not intended to be a classic museum, but rather a landscape of knowledge and experience that brings the Brothers Grimm into contact with the present. Artistically, medially and interactively, the newly created exhibition, which opened in September 2015, conveys not only the life and work of Jacob and Wilhelm, but also of their younger brother, the painter Ludwig Emil Grimm. The permanent exhibition offers a variety of literary and historical exhibits and at the same time allows visitors to immerse themselves in the world of the Brothers Grimm in numerous installations and walk-in objects.
